Invicta are seeking players to play Masters Competitions. Age Groups are 30+ 40+ 50+
Contact Alan Smith for motre details - see below for message from Greg Wallace.
Hi All,
We are looking to start a Masters section at the new Beacon program system at Crystal Palace which is being run by GLL and Invicta Water Polo Club. Our long term intentions are to compete at all levels and want to start by entering at least 3 teams into this year's 2010 World Masters, in Boras near Goteborg Sweden on the 28th July until 6th August 2010, 30+ age group, 40+ age group and 50 + age group, this is not to say we can't enter other age groups if we get a good response .
We do have a professional coach, Gary Simons (who most of you know). Gary's job is to run the water polo program at Crystal Palace and Coach Invicta Water Polo Club who are the header club.
Gary would like to start training on alternate Monday nights from 7.00 until 10.00pm. The Next session will be on the 1st Feb 2010. The start time is very flexible as not everybody can make the 7.00 start so please get there at whatever time is possible ( No Pressure, We don't need it at our age)
This will cost £5.00 per session payable at the door to GLL. To compete in any Master Tournament you will have to become a member of Invicta Water Polo Club, which will also allow you to train on 2 hours Wednesdays, 2 hours Fridays and 2 hours Sunday afternoon, Which will cost £ 120 per year plus your GLL fee, payable by 12 monthly payment. This is to cover the cost of entries into any competitions.
We have a great deal of good players in and around the area and we are hoping this will give everybody an opportunity to train and compete together at the right level. Please pass this information on to anyone who may be interested in the masters squad.
